Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Nepean, ON
Shifts: Weekend, Overtime, On Call
Work setting: Various locations, Warehouse, and Moving and storage company
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Vehicle and equipment experience: Dollies and hand trucks and Loader
Area of work experience: Material handling
Security and safety: Bondable and Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks, heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should be able to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, work outdoors, and in dusty or cold/refrigerated conditions
- The candidates should be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be energetic, hardworking, have good time management skills, and be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, ship orders, and pick orders and stock
- The candidates should be able to weigh materials and goods, make labels and attach them to goods, and wrap goods
- The candidates should be able to pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, and stack goods, and install, lash, and secure goods
- The candidates should be able to store cargo and materials, transport and distribute materials and goods, and organize and maintain inventory
