Location: 184 Toryork Dr, North York, ON M9L 1X6, Canada
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be accustomed to working in cold or refrigerated environments, managing repetitive tasks that require manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, while standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads in physically demanding conditions, efficiently working under pressure, and handling weights of more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills
- The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
