Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics
Experience: Candidates should have 1 year experience in mechanical
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work at height, in tight spaces, and outdoors despite changing seasonal conditions
- The candidates should be able to work overtime and available to be on call on evenings and weekends on a rotating basis
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess minimal welding skills additional certifications or qualifications
- The candidates should know how to drive heavy manual trucks having a class 1 or 3
- The candidates should proficiency in English and any electrical knowledge
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the optimal operational maintenance of all equipment and vehicles
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to the established program and troubleshoot, repair, and manufacture various equipment
- The candidates should be able to participate in equipment adjustments and perform repairs noted on worksheets left by drivers
- The candidates should be able to work from maintenance or manufacturing schedules, detailed drawings, sketches, specifications, manuals, or verbal and written instructions
- The candidates should be able to mechanically assemble machinery and recommend possible modifications to equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform periodic maintenance operations such as oil changes, lubrication, brakes and tire rotations
- The candidates should be able to organize work according to requests and availability of equipment for repair and ensure parts required for manufacturing and repairs are ordered
- The candidates should be able to adhere to safety standards and regulations and may provide training
- The candidates should be able to actively participate in improving the department’s productivity, products, and working methods
