Transportation information: Own vehicle, valid driver’s license, public transportation is not available
Work setting: Willing to relocate, relocation costs covered by employer, pulp and paper mill, and forest industry
Supervision: No supervision responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities, operations or production, project management, project coordination, and project planning
Manufacturing sector experience: Specifically in pulp and paper
Computer and technology knowledge: SAP (FI/CO/HR/MM/OT SD), project management software, and MS Office
Credentials: Membership in l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to manage a large workload

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
  • The candidates should be able to develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems, diagnose issues, and propose solutions to minimize downtime
  • The candidates should be able to plan and manage projects related to mechanical systems, including preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, as well as reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • The candidates should be able to prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance projects to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • The candidates should be able to commission mechanical systems, ensuring that they are installed and functioning correctly according to design specifications
