Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Diploma in Community Health Nursing
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• The candidates should show initiative and willingness to work a flexible schedule

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have graduated from an approved post-secondary Nursing Education program with an undergraduate degree in Nursing
• The candidates should have current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• The candidates should have at least one (1) year of experience within the past three (3) years in providing and coordinating community health nursing services
• The candidates should have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation
• The candidates should hold a Health Assessment certification or be willing to complete the next available course
• The candidates should demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and strong oral and written communication abilities
• The candidates should possess a valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class V Driver’s License and have access to a private vehicle
• The candidates should consistently demonstrate the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)
• The candidates should have a satisfactory record of work performance and attendance and provide a satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
• The candidates should demonstrate skill in using healthcare-based computer systems, such as CRMS and Meditech and CNA certification in Community Health Nursing

• The candidates should be able to practice using the Home First philosophy to identify, assess, and support individuals with complex care needs, ensuring they can be cared for in their own homes
• The candidates should be able to work in accordance with the Canadian Community Health Nursing Standards of Practice, following the policies and procedures of the Central Regional Health Authority
