Salary: $19.25 to $23.94 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Chilliwack, BC
Shifts: Day, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Factory or plant, and Industrial facility or establishment
Type of product: Power tools

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment, systems and controls experience: Security system
Equipment: Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments)
Area of work experience: Maintenance and Production

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, up to 45 kg (100 lbs), and able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and dependable

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication skills and be flexible in their approach
  • The candidates should take initiative and be organized
  • The candidates should be reliable and demonstrate good judgment

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to move tools, equipment, and other materials, and clean machines and immediate work areas
  • The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective machinery parts and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • The candidates should be able to perform safety and security checks and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair and perform minor repairs on appliances
