Job Description:

Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 80 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Casselman, ON
Shifts: Day
Work setting: In shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Experience and specialization: Body components, doors and frame, frame straightening, front end components, interior components, metal cutting, underbody components, and welding
Own tools/equipment: Tools and Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to work in a noisy area, in odors, and in dusty area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, judgmental, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to review damage reports and estimates of repair costs and plan work to be performed
  • The candidates should be able to clean and maintain the workspace
  • The candidates should be able to replace front-end components, body components, doors, frame, and underbody components
  • The candidates should be able to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • The candidates should be able to hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
  • The candidates should be able to remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • The candidates should be able to repair or replace interior components
  • The candidates should be able to repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • The candidates should be able to operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • The candidates should be able to straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
