Salary: $23.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Alberton, PE
Shifts: Day, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Municipal government
Type of inspection: Sewer systems, and Pipelines
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Mobile sidewalk cleaners, and power mowers
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear, and steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, criminal record check, and driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and able to handle physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and proficient in weight handling, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability and possess good judgment, along with excellent oral communication skills and flexibility
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control, collect and load refuse on garbage trucks, and assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks
- The candidates should be able to assist in the routine maintenance and repair of equipment, load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, and cut grass
- The candidates should be able to assist skilled tradespersons
