Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Shifts: Flexible Hours
Work setting: Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Children 
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course, and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, including bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, instructing children in personal hygiene and social development, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants, supervise and care for children, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
