Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam, Reference required, and Basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and manage physically demanding tasks, including handling up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks, working under pressure, and be available for overtime as required
- The candidates should have attention to detail and be experienced in weight handling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, have efficient interpersonal skills, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidates should be flexible, show initiative, and exhibit good judgment while being organized, reliable, and a team player
- The candidates should have strong time management skills, patience, and demonstrate honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
