Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry Check, Child Welfare Check, Criminal Record Check, Drug Test, Medical Exam, Reference Required, And Basic Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and work overtime when required
The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and handle repetitive tasks
The candidates should be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to change diapers, sterilize bottles and prepare formulas, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, and travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
The candidates should be able to organize activities, such as games and outings, for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
The candidates should be able to cook
