Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and scent-free
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks and able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be capable of weight handling up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills and demonstrate good judgement
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and show initiative
- The candidates should be organized, reliable, and a team player
- The candidates should be client-focused and exhibit good time management
- The candidates should demonstrate patience and honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
- The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals
- The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children
- The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments.
- The candidates should be able to help children with homework
