Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, possess excellent oral communication, and possess excellent written communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, take initiative, and exercise judgement
  • The candidates should be organized, demonstrate reliability, and excel in time management

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to change diapers, assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for children, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and to appointments
  • The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
