Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English, Hindi, and Panjabi Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be capable of working under pressure
• The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to host functions such as weddings, anniversaries, community events, sports events, corporate functions, and school dances
• The candidates should be able to present own material or material prepared by others
• The candidates should be able to select and introduce music, videos, and other entertainment material for broadcast and make commercial and public service announcements
• The candidates should be able to act as a host/hostess or master of ceremonies, introduce and interview guests, and conduct proceedings of shows or programs.
• The candidates should be able to read news, sports, and weather for radio and television
• The candidates should be able to report on weather conditions using information provided by weather forecasting services
• The candidates should be able to report on traffic conditions by maintaining contact with external sources of information or by observing traffic from air or land vehicles
