Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Formal education in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related subject area
Experience: Candidates should have 3-6 years of industry experience in Natural Gas Liquids logistics
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should ideally have industry experience in Business Development or other commercial functions as it is considered an asset
- The candidates should demonstrate an understanding of North American commodity transportation networks, specifically movements of Natural Gas Liquids
- The candidates should exhibit an understanding of scheduling and trade cycles, including nominations, pipeline restrictions, and 3rd party cuts
- The candidates should have knowledge of conventional and oil sands upstream production operations
- The candidates should have system Experience, including Petrotranz, Geometrix, T4 Pipeline Portals, and experience with Right Angle
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be accountable for the safe, compliant, and value-optimized movement of NGL products throughout domestic and international markets and ensure continuous operations of Cenovus producing assets, assisting the broader team in setting nomination strategies, and completing those strategies
- The candidates should be able to handle the supply plan for a variety of Natural Gas Liquid components, blending, different modes of transportation, and storage and identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities that enable operational performance and drive commercial value
- The candidates should be able to provide backup coverage for various scheduling roles as required and able to work in a team that operates 7 days a week and act as the primary interface for both Senior Cenovus personnel and the pipelines and terminals involved in product transportation
- The candidates should be able to deliver reliable supply while minimizing working capital, enhancing commercial delivery, and identifying optimization opportunities
- The candidates should be able to maintain awareness of physical exposures at all times to ensure the optimization of asset operations and provide support and advice to traders by resolving daily physical positions, transportation capacity, and utilization forecasts
- The candidates should be able to nominate volumes for shipments for all NGL facilities and pipelines, aligning with the TSL trade strategy and use in-depth knowledge of contracts and work closely with Business Development and Trading to assess various ways to optimize transportation and storage assets
- The candidates should be able to understand, track, and communicate Force Majeure, cuts/curtailments/increases, and assess the impact on pipeline outage reports and apply strong operational knowledge to handle any impacts related to the operation of transportation and NGL facilities
- The candidates should be able to monitor, review, and reconcile purchase, sales, and inventory volumes for all NGL facilities and pipelines during month-end close and cover all NGL desks with a focus on accuracy and timely updates
