Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo
