Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should be either registered or eligible to be registered as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association
Experience: Candidates should have recently experience of nursing theory, practices and techniques
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should acknowledge the potential exposure to upset and verbally/physically abusive clients
- The candidates should be aware of the potential exposure to infectious materials, such as bodily fluids
- The candidates should be prepared for periodical travel outside Yukon for conferences, meetings, or other forms of professional development
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to operate across multiple levels of care and within a transdisciplinary environment
- The candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrate organizational skills
- The candidates should exhibit critical thinking, relationship building, and conflict management skills and have the ability to provide leadership, coaching, and training to members of the team
- The candidates should have experience working with a diverse population and have undergone B screening and possess a Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- The candidates should hold a valid CPR-HCP certification and have completed WHMIS 2015 training within one month of hire
- The candidates should maintain current registration in good standing with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association
