Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in floriculture production, be comfortable working outdoors, and work in wet or damp conditions
• The candidates should be able to work in hot environments and dusty conditions
• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to manage physically demanding tasks, stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel
• The candidates should have strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to walk for extended periods, meet tight deadlines, and handle weight, including weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, be reliable, and be a team player
• The candidates should be flexible and have good judgement

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to clean the crops, cut horticultural crops, and perform greenhouse cleaning
• The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings, perform weeding, and pot and re-pot plants
• The candidates should be able to transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, dig up and wrap rootballs of trees and shrubs, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
• The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops and apply the technique of hoeing between the rows
