Type of product: Coniferous Trees, Deciduous Trees, Native Plants, Perennials, and Ornamental Trees, Shrubs, and Hedges
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization:Â Green economy sector
Equipment and machinery experience:Â Chain Saw, Forklift, Garden Tractors, Irrigation Pumps And Equipment, and Light Trucks
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail, work overtime, and handle up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings, mix fertilizer, and tie and secure plants
- The candidates should be able to weed, assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants, and mix and prepare soils
- The candidates should be able to pot and re-pot plants, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and apply fertilizers
- The candidates should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage, assist in grafting activities, and dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
- The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, clean work area, and clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
