Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be willing to work outdoors, adapting to various weather conditions
• The candidates should be comfortable working in or on water as part of their job responsibilities
• The candidates should be able to work in wet or damp conditions, as specified by the nature of the tasks
• The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments, as required by the job specifications
• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, adapting to the rapid pace of tasks and responsibilities
• The candidates should be capable of working under pressure, effectively managing tasks and responsibilities during challenging situations
• The candidates should be accustomed to physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
• The candidates should possess a strong attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in their work
• The candidates should demonstrate hand-eye coordination, facilitating skill and accuracy in tasks requiring manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs), as outlined in the job requirements

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive and effective communication with colleagues and clients
• The candidates should be flexible, adapting readily to changing circumstances and requirements
• The candidates should exercise good judgment, making sound decisions based on critical analysis and evaluation

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to feed aquaculture stock and write daily basic progress reports
• The candidates should be able to cull, mark, or tag stock and report stock irregularities, as well as operate, maintain, and clean pumps, filters, and other aquaculture equipment
• The candidates should be able to clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures, transfer stock to tanks in trucks, and pack stock in special containers
• The candidates should be able to rake and gather marine plants, spread and dry marine plants, and transport them to processing plants
• The candidates should be able to dig shellfish from shellfish beds, clean, sort, and pack shellfish, and assist aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries or other aquatic farms
• The candidates should be able to grade and weigh aquaculture stocks
