Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have preparedly Warehouse experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to load packages onto UPS delivery trucks by hand
- The candidates should be able to load 2-4 trucks at one time and ensure the proper packages are loaded onto the right delivery trucks
- The candidates should be able to work in the UPS warehouse, enduring hot and cold temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise
- The candidates should be able to work in a very fast-paced position that is physically demanding, including lifting up to 70lbs
- The candidates should be available to work daily Monday to Friday
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be aware that start and end times will vary during high-volume peak holiday season
- The candidates should have monthly union dues
- The candidates should have the union initiation fee deducted after 90 working days
- The candidates should undergo a criminal background record check
- The candidates should have the ability to read and memorize postal codes
- The candidates should have availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load and organize UPS delivery trucks during the preload shift
- The candidates should be able to prepare UPS delivery trucks for delivery
- The candidates should be able to unload packages from UPS trailers
- The candidates should be able to scan and sort packages based on the delivery area
- The candidates should be able to follow load charts to sort and organize packages based on the order of delivery
- The candidates should be able to learn UPS package handling procedures and methods
