Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma (DEP) in Administration
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a customer-focused approach, integrity and trust, listening skills, and the ability to set priorities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Professional College Diploma in Administration with 3 years of experience
- The candidates should have payroll experience in a unionized environment, which is a significant
- The candidates should have good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and knowledge of enterprise resource planning software SAP
- The candidates should have excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills and expertise in managing priorities and multiple requests and efficient in teamwork with minimal supervision
- The candidates should have the ability to take initiatives and be bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
- The candidates should demonstrate a drive for results, interpersonal savvy, organizational agility, problem-solving skills, and timely decision-making
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to act as a role model in matters of safety, environmental stewardship, leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement to ensure consistency with the company’s vision and decisive success factors and responsible for the bi-weekly pay closing process for hourly employees
- The candidates should be able to support the hiring process of temporary and permanent unionized workers and process the termination of employee or contract of temporary unionized workers
- The candidates should be able to maintain personnel registers (active personnel reports – absenteeism, overtime) and for emergency evacuations, database reports for emergency calls, and time-off journals vacation, sick leave and submit requests in SAP for hourly employees’ employment changes, hires, layoffs, and terminations
- The candidates should be able to work with union officers in applying and interpreting the collective agreement, and implement all changes to the collective agreement upon renewal and organize the physical evaluation of new employees
- The candidates should be able to prepare and ensure follow-up of CNESST and health benefits files and create purchase requisitions, follow up on POs, and process invoices or bills of lading related to HR
- The candidates should be able to plan, organize, and manage the United Way (Centraide) fundraising campaign and prepare manual invoices, such as for union leave, and act as a replacement for Accounts Payables and Training administrative assistants
- The candidates should be able to work with various departments, such as HR, Finance, and Purchasing and work closely with the plant’s Service Reps, including the Plant Manager, Managers, and Supervisors
