Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of high school education
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have some or directly related experience, with one year of experience considered equivalent to one year of education
- The candidates should have some high school education, related training, and at least two years of related experience or directly related experience equivalent to one year of education, along with some supervision experience
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent and provide a Driver’s Abstract
- The candidates should hold a current Standard First Aid and CPR Level “C”/AED Certificate
- The candidates should have experience using hand and power tools and demonstrate good working knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and safety of small equipment
- The candidates should have experience in custodial, landscaping, or similar roles and hold chainsaw certification
- The candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a comfort level in handling difficult customer interactions or complaints and prior experience working within a campground setting
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform lawn maintenance and carry out minor repairs on park facilities
- The candidates should be able to handle routine custodial and cleaning duties of park facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety
- The candidates should be able to respond to in-person requests for information on area amenities and park conditions
- The candidates should be able to conduct routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment
- The candidates should be able to complete trail and signage projects and report all maintenance concerns promptly and accurately
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate familiarity with and adhere to all pertinent Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as the Facility Emergency Response Plan
- The candidates should be able to complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses
