Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 3 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time – On the road job
Location: Nanoose Bay, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Target audience: persons with Alzheimer’s disease, adults, elderly, females, males, persons with a disability, persons with an intellectual disability, persons with mental health disabilities, persons with physical disabilities, terminally ill, and young adults

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, confidential security clearance, basic security clearance, and reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
• The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as sitting for extended periods and walking for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks efficiently under pressure

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exhibit punctuality and have a focus on clients, demonstrating dependability and possessing efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills, demonstrating flexibility and showing initiative with good judgment
• The candidates should be organized and reliable team players, demonstrating patience and honesty in their interactions

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and provide companionship
• The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, feed or assist in feeding, and shop for food and household supplies
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
