Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Experience with special needs children:Â Assistance with mobility
Credentials: Community disability studies Certificate, Developmental services worker (DSW) Training, First Aid Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check, Reference required, and Child welfare check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling, handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and manage repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods, stand for long periods, and walk
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual and focused on clients
- The candidate should be dependable and demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should be able to communicate excellently orally and show flexibility
- The candidate should take initiative and use good judgment
- The candidate should be organized and reliable

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients in water, e.g., a pool
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking, and change non-sterile dressings
- The candidates should be able to collect specimens, demonstrate infant care to new parents, and feed or assist in feeding
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care, shop for food and household supplies, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
