Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Terms of employment Term or contract Part time leading to full time
Location: Fonthill, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Morning
Work setting: Hospital or home for the aged
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate, and Developmental services worker (DSW) Training
Security and safety: Vulnerable sector check, Tuberculosis test, Medical exam, and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a client focus and be dependable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should possess flexibility and show initiative
- The candidates should use sound judgment and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
- The candidates should be punctual
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties related to patient and personal care, such as weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients, and administering medications
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and groom patients, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, supervise patients’ exercise routines, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to make beds, maintain patients’ rooms, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, mend clothing and linens, and launder clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to collect specimens, maintain inventory of supplies, and administer bedside and personal care
