Salary: $17.00 hourly for 20 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Morning
Work setting: Pet grooming shop
Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs and Cats
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages : Japanese
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Dog training expertise: Canine behavior problems/modification
Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be attentive to detail
- The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused and should be dependable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should possess excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should be flexible, have good judgement, and should be reliable
- The candidates should be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals
- The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures
- The candidates should be able to keep records of animals treated
- The candidates should be able to clean animal ears
- The candidates should be able to maintain and order supplies
- The candidates should be able to provide flea bath treatments to animals
- The candidates should be able to clip animal nails
- The candidates should be able to perform dental cleaning on domestic animals
