- The candidates should have experience in facilitating ongoing consultations with medical or pharmacy experts, industry professionals, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- The candidates should have experience in providing quality pharmacy care in accordance with current jurisdictional trends, legislation, standards of practice, and guidelines
- The candidates should have experience in establishing and fostering partnerships and collaborations with internal and external clients, agencies, or stakeholders
- The candidates should have experience in writing research findings, reports, notes, memos, policies, and other correspondence
- The candidates should have verbal communication skills to effectively articulate ideas to a variety of audiences
- The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and familiar with the Manitoba Provincial Drug Programs
- The candidates should be familiar with the workings and processes of the Department of Health
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to undertake ongoing reviews of various provincial drug formularies, focusing on clinical- and cost-effectiveness and alignment with other pan-Canadian jurisdictions
- The candidates should be able to provide clinical evaluation and professional judgment in the adjudication of complex exception drug status (EDS) requests from medical practitioners
- The candidates should be able to consult with medical experts, research medical literature, and analyze clinical practices and innovations in other jurisdictions
- The candidates should be able to write reports and make recommendations on the feasibility of proposed drug prescribing policies and guidelines as decision-support tools
- The candidates should be able to lead or participate in various committees composed of internal and external stakeholders dealing with drug plan policy issues and request a detailed position description
