Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
Experience: Candidates should have current pharmacy experience in an acute hospital/direct patient care setting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold an Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) from the Alberta College of Pharmacy
  • The candidates should be aware that new Pharmacy graduates, licensed with ACP in 2024, have 1 year effective their original AHS hire date to achieve APA status
  • The candidates should consider providing comprehensive medication management services
  • The candidates should possess Connect Care/EPIC software experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services
  • The candidates should be able to manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis
  • The candidates should be able to provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems
  • The candidates should be able to oversee activities related to compounding and packaging

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300 and an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses to an annual maximum of $1,235
