Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Experience: Candidates should have prior experience working in an interdisciplinary team

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
  • The candidates should have the ability to apply evidence-based medicine in direct patient care

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be actively registered with or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
  • The candidates should have additional prescribing authorization or obtain it within one year of the date of hire

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services
  • The candidates should be able to manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis
  • The candidates should be able to provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems
  • The candidates should be able to oversee activities related to compounding and packaging medications
