- The candidates should be 16 years of age or older
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to receive prescriptions from patients, ensuring compliance with provincial legal and regulatory conditions while assessing prescriptions for completeness, including patient details, prescriber information, and third-party requirements
- The candidates should be able to perform computer functions as directed by the pharmacist, including data entry, price checks, patient information updates, dosage calculations, refill processing, and report generation
- The candidates should be able to fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy through checks, selecting and preparing appropriate products, labeling medications, and obtaining necessary approvals for verbal refills
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, checking for expired medications, processing returns, ordering supplies, and organizing pharmacy shelves
- The candidates should be able to perform general housekeeping tasks, including stocking prescription supplies, maintaining cleanliness in the dispensary, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment
- The candidates should be able to handle clerical organization tasks such as filing prescriptions, invoices, reports, and completing administrative support functions
- The candidates should be able to assist with OTC operations, including ordering and stocking products and performing cashier duties as assigned by the OTC Manager or Pharmacist
