Salary: $18.00 hourly 20 to 40 hours per week + 5% commission per sale Minimum wage is guaranteed
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours, Morning
Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, Private gallery, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Photoshop
Technical experience: Picture Framing
Exhibit preparation experience: Framing paintings, photographs etc., Matting prints and drawings
Area of specialization: Decorative arts, Prints and drawings, Photography, Textile, Sales
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to fabricate custom frames, measure and cut mats, mat enhancements and glass, and mount paintings, photographs and other art work
