Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Journeyman Plumber certification
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working on structures at heights with proper fall protection equipment
- The candidates should be proficient with the safe use of common hand and power tools
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a gas license and be qualified to maintain switch-heaters and work on high-pressure systems
- The candidates should possess a Provincial certification for working on 500,000 BTU systems Gas 1 Installers License
- The candidates should obtain and hold a CROR rules card, minimum level “D” and hold a valid driver’s license
- The candidates should be proficient in the installation and maintenance of sanitary, potable, and pressurized water systems
- The candidates should be proficient in the maintenance of oil-water separators and a thorough knowledge of all relevant industry codes
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maintain switch heaters, handle gas fittings and manage propane handling
- The candidates should be able to perform rough plumbing and replace and repair HVAC systems
- The candidates should be able to maintain storm drainage systems and maintain high-pressure steam and air lines
