Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments
• The candidates should be adaptable to wet or damp working conditions and comfortable with repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, showcasing physical strength
• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work
• The candidates should be physically fit for tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, showcasing a combination of physical fitness and adaptability

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exhibit reliability in consistently meeting commitments.
• The candidates should be dedicated team players, contributing positively to group dynamics.

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them by hand or forklift truck to the work area
• The candidates should transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area, condition fish fillets for wrapping or freezing, and weigh fish or shellfish, recording the weight, and packing fish in ice
• The candidates should clean machines and immediate work areas, measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and sort fish according to species, weight, and destination, showcasing a comprehensive set of skills in fish processing
