Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess strong skills in troubleshooting/support and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- The candidates should be able to engage in Service Requests, Incidents, Changes, and Problems escalated to the team in ServiceNow, including program activities or regular day-to-day tasks as time permits
- The candidates may be expected to work after business hours, evenings, or weekends, as patching is often completed after hours for systems/servers
- The candidates should be available to participate in team On-Call Rotations (24/7) and workday escalations involving complex problem-solving for incident resolution
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end users, team members, other groups, and vendors
- The candidates should have a keen interest and understanding of Security and Cyber Security concepts and how they relate to the infrastructure landscape and knowledge of and experience using NetApp
- The candidates should be able to independently take on work to deliver the enterprise program, requiring a strong understanding of core concepts in VMware, Azure Stack HCI, Nutanix, NetApp Storage, and backup technologies
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver patch management and related security agents to all infrastructure
- The candidates should be able to report and provide service metrics, including analytics, capacity, and performance of the virtualization environment as requested by leadership and participate in triage and root cause analysis
- The candidates should be able to assist in establishing an annual Performance Management Plan (PMP) for career development and provide infrastructure technology platform expertise in delivering technology projects and initiatives
- The candidates should be able to provide 3rd tier level support to Server Operations teams with incidents and issues related to all infrastructure platforms and participate as a key member of the Vulnerability Management program team
- The candidates should be able to create and maintain support documentation for processes like patching and hardware deployments and assist with identifying server assets, versions, patch levels, and agent status
- The candidates should be able to build reporting functionality and self-service capability in vRealize (vRops) and maintain ongoing compliance reporting for application of agents and patches to support various projects within the program
- The candidates should be able to serve as an escalation resource and represent the team on infrastructure and application integration issues related to installs of agents, patching deployments, or other project-related work
- The candidates should be able to support the infrastructure environment through standard ITSM processes
- The candidates should be able to provide input based on technical expertise and demonstrate a strong understanding of industry best practices
