Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 yearsÂ

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
- The candidates should be able to prepare tenders and quotations
- The candidates should be able to locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidates should be able to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
- The candidates should be able to join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- The candidates should be able to determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
