Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 38 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations, Commercial, and Construction site

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, and Hard hat
Credentials: Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification, Working at heights training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces and be prepared to work in wet or damp conditions
• The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding job requirements, comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, and possess hand-eye coordination for precise tasks
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads as needed, manage a large workload efficiently, and work effectively under pressure

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should strive to be accurate in their work, prioritize client focus, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication abilities, exercise good judgment, and be team players capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to install and repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, and locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
• The candidates should be able to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, join pipes using various methods such as couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment, and test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• The candidates should be able to determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing, as well as measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
