Salary: $20.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided 
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working under pressure
  • The candidates should be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and able to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be familiar with repetitive tasks and have attention to detail
  • The candidates should have hand-eye coordination and be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus and exhibit flexibility
  • The candidates should be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • The candidates should be able to clean and lubricate cranes, mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, level earth to fine grade specifications, and pave and rake asphalt
  • The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials, perform routine maintenance work, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, direct traffic at or near construction sites, and select the type and size of pipe required
