The Cove Lakeside Resort based in Westbank, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Pool Attendant/Server (Full Time) – Seasonal May to September-Summer Jobs 2023. The Cove Lakeside Resort is a luxury all-suite resort of the beautiful Okanagan Valley. We are a place where the beauty and solitude of nature is just 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Kelowna. Our resort is known for the tranquil waterfront setting and majestic views of Okanagan Lake. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Salary: $22.00 per hour including summer incentive bonus
Employment Type: Seasonal
Location: West Kelowna, BC
Schedule: Full Time – 10am-6.30pm shift including weekends and holidays

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to evaluate and solve problems accurately and efficiently.
  • The candidate should have the ability to multitask
  • The candidate should be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and also have the ability to work in flexible schedule
  • The candidate should have strong organizational skills and also have the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The candidate should have the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to greet and serve guests in a timely and courteous manner and also take orders, serve drinks and confectionery items.
  • The candidate should be able to process payment in line with Resort policy and also complete set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion
  • The candidate should be able to maintain a clean and safe environment by returning furniture to its correct location, picking up used towels and garbage and also monitor pool restrooms to ensure they remain neat, clean and stocked
  • The candidate should be able to manage pool towel stocking and also maintain inventory levels, communicating ordering requirements to the Manager
  • The candidate should be able to complete cleaning of the pool area as required and also maintain order in the pool and adjoining areas.
  • The candidate should be able to provide guests with general information on the pool, resort and local area and also record and report all accidents and injuries
