Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of High school
Experience: Candidates should have experience interacting with the public in a retail and service environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
- The candidates should have flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have provincial equivalency and experience in business administration
- The candidates should have training interacting with the public in a retail and service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- The candidates should have an understanding of general or post office accounting systems
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sell postal products and services to the business community and public
- The candidates should be able to sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
- The candidates should be able to provide customers with information and forms
- The candidates should be able to address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
