Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience in business administration

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, and sort mail while standing for extended periods of time

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience leading and directing teams and experience interacting with the public in a retail and service environment, including sales and cash transactions
  • The candidates should have knowledge of regulations, methods, and procedures for processing mail and providing postal services

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to liaise with the local community to address inquiries regarding Canada Post services and products
  • The candidates should be able to sell and promote postal products and services to both the public and local businesses
  • The candidates should be able to administer the post office to ensure retail hours of operation are met and delivery expectations are fulfilled
  • The candidates should be able to manage postal revenue, assets, and values, ensuring accurate records and accountability
  • The candidates should be able to maintain records and prepare reports related to postal operations and services
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, including training and evaluating their performance to ensure efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the effective management of mail delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate service
