Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment, Slaughterhouses

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be tolerant of various odors, comfortable working in hot environments, and also comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments
• The candidates should be accustomed to performing repetitive tasks, demonstrating excellent hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods
• The candidates should have a keen attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should show flexibility in their approach to tasks and demonstrate reliability in their work

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards in food-related tasks, and checking products and packaging for basic quality defects to maintain high-quality final products
• The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, contributing to the logistical flow of production, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties to enhance production efficiency
• The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, maintaining the efficiency of the production line, and feed and unload processing machines, actively participating in the production process
• The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, following established packaging procedures, and pack and unpack goods, managing the packaging and unpacking processes efficiently
• The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas, following sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work environment, as well as remove bones from meat, preparing meat products according to specified requirements
