Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in Process Control, Electrical and Computer-related
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should, or a general engineering degree. Post-secondary college diplomas or equivalent work experience
- The candidates should have Experience in other industrial sectors and demonstrate functional knowledge of the principles and methods used in Process Control and processing analysis
- The candidates should be proficient with current Microsoft operating systems and basic software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have knowledge and experience working safely in environments with exposed 110VAC sources
- The candidates should have experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting Emerson Delta V, Rockwell PLC, and OSI PI systems
- The candidates should possess Microsoft PC or server and Ethernet network development and troubleshooting experience and process optimization experience
- The candidates should have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and project management tools, demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and project start-up experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain Emerson Delta V and Rockwell PLC control systems, ensuring their optimal functionality and modify control system logic to maintain existing and develop new process control functionality, optimizing performance
- The candidates should be able to modify control system interlocks, permissives, alarms, and operator displays to enhance safe and optimized process control and design, install, and maintain OPC and Modbus interfaces to control systems, ensuring seamless integration
- The candidates should be able to analyze and tune process control loops, ensuring they meet operational efficiency and safety standards and manage and perform control system software upgrades, ensuring systems are up to date
- The candidates should be able to manage and perform control system hardware maintenance and upgrades in control rooms and Motor Control Centers, ensuring reliability and respond to control system troubleshooting requests after-hours as required, troubleshooting remotely and making callouts to the site
- The candidates should be able to maintain, develop, modify, and troubleshoot process control support systems, such as OSI-PI historian, DB-Doc, Advanced Process Control, SPLIT camera and maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft PCs and Servers, ensuring their smooth operation and maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Ethernet, Cisco, and Hirschmann switches, ensuring network reliability
- The candidates should be able to assist in maintaining cyber security systems for Process Control system computers and servers to ensure secure operations and work directly with vendors and contractors to facilitate control system maintenance, upgrades, and expansions
- The candidates should be able to analyze process systems using current and historical data, identifying problems and opportunities for improvement and research and analyze process performance, draw conclusions, and take action to resolve process control issues in an operating plant
- The candidates should be able to provide guidelines to plant operations and maintenance groups to achieve safety, production, and environmental goals and work constructively in a team environment, contributing to the vision of Argonaut Gold Magino Mine and capturing future opportunities
- The candidates should be able to participate in regular plant inspections to identify and record safety issues and process improvement opportunities and conduct regular interviews with various personnel to encourage safe working habits and identify improvement opportunities
- The candidates should be able to identify, originate, develop, and implement projects specifically aimed at improving and enhancing safety onsite, provide regular reports on project progress and activities to ensure effective communication and perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization
