Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Master’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of relevant practical and professional experience working in a healthcare or higher education environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and be a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • The candidates should have experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level and formal studies in adult or higher education

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure that program and course curricula are current, relevant, and reflective of best practices within the relevant professional or program disciplines
  • The candidates should be able to define, evaluate, and validate learning outcomes for courses and programs
  • The candidates should be able to create an effective environment for applied learning that accommodates students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles
  • The candidates should be able to design appropriate strategies and tools for facilitating and assessing student learning that are invitational and reflective of best practices in teaching and learning
  • The candidates should be able to develop appropriate strategies and tools to assess student performance that are consistent with the learning outcomes of the course and address multiple learning styles
  • The candidates should be able to develop multi-media materials and alternative delivery strategies, incorporating appropriate educational technologies into the applied learning process
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that students are aware of course and program learning outcomes, learning strategies, and evaluation techniques; provide individual tutoring and academic counseling; and evaluate student progress or achievement within assigned courses
  • The candidates should be able to work with students from diverse educational, religious, and cultural backgrounds
