Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have successful completion of at least 1 year of a recognized university/college program in Information Systems and Technology, or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have successful completion of Microsoft A+ certification, which is preferred
  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of current microcomputer hardware and software
  • The candidates should demonstrate skill in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows 10
  • The candidates should have the ability to use Office 365 Suite products
  • The candidates should possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate organizational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities
  • The candidates should have the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist with the day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of the Departments’ information systems
  • The candidates should be able to configure and troubleshoot desktop and smart devices hardware and software
  • The candidates should be able to deploy new computers (desktop & laptops) and perform backup from old computers
  • The candidates should be able to perform remote and onsite troubleshooting, including hardware and software issues
  • The candidates should be able to perform departmental help desk functions of problem receiving, recording, and tracking
  • The candidates should be able to install, troubleshoot, and maintain systems software and hardware to end-users to maintain effective and efficient system operation
  • The candidates should be able to maintain departmental hardware and software inventory records
  • The candidates should be able to meet with users to determine the information and process requirements of requested applications and/or systems
  • The candidates should be able to prepare status reports reflecting current and projected workloads
  • The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned consistent with the job classification
