Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education in a field related to construction project management, including engineering, architecture, or business administration
Experience: Candidates should have experience in project coordination or management in the field of construction

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and be willing to make occasional visits to work sites within the province by ground, waterways, and air, which may require overnight stays
  • The candidates should possess and maintain a full Stage Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and work independently and under minimal supervision
  • The candidates should have strong attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve, recognize critical issues, and take appropriate proactive action

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present and provide high-level customer service to different stakeholders
  • The candidates should have strong planning, research, and analytical skills to identify and integrate relevant information to determine appropriate courses of action and outcomes
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills and organize and prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines
  • The candidates should have the ability to investigate, interpret, analyze, and resolve highly complex and specialized project matters
  • The candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, as well as project management software, including MS Project

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist in the delivery and implementation of assigned capital projects from inception through to project completion
  • The candidates should be able to manage the control, distribution, processing, and maintenance of all contract documents, including plans, tenders, work orders, change orders, and detailed designs
  • The candidates should be able to assist in developing processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed efficiently, meeting Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure standards
