Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a doctoral degree in Psychology
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of clinical experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • The candidates should have experience in evidence-based treatment for trauma and stressor-related disorders, as well as mood, anxiety, and concurrent disorders
  • The candidates should have significant experience in the administration of psychological assessments, including objective self-report instruments and structured diagnostic interviewing, with an emphasis on SCID, MMPI-2, and PAI
  • The candidates should have experience in assessing response bias and experience in pain assessment, which would be seen as an asset. Experience in addictions and concurrent disorders and supporting specialty populations such as military and first responders
  • The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • The candidates should possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work effectively within set contractual reporting deadlines
  • The candidates should have a high degree of proficiency with computer-based programs (word processing, electronic communication, workload measures)
  • The candidates should have the capacity to work with clients of diverse ethnoracial and cultural backgrounds, and proficiency in a second language

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment and treatment services to clients referred by the WSIB
  • The candidates should be able to provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based treatment in both individual and group formats, addressing psychological functioning, diagnosis, and return to work
  • The candidates should be able to specialize in providing assessment and outpatient treatment for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and other psychiatric disorders related to the workplace and participate in multidisciplinary education and training
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for other duties as required, including supporting other programs within the Acute Care Program
  • The candidates should be able to work at the specified location (250 College Street) and be available for evening work
