Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 70lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a professional interest in safety and security
- The candidates should have the ability to successfully pass security checks, including background and criminal records checks, which includes an extended 5-year background check
- The candidates should exhibit good judgment, decision-making abilities, and effective communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate diligence and a keen eye for detail
- The candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask
- The candidates should possess Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained with all applicable laws and regulations in accordance with the Aviation Security legislation and UPS Local Operating Plan (LOP) standards
- The candidates should be able to ensure the daily operational quality of the facility’s screening process
- The candidates should be able to oversee chain of custody controls and maintain documentation to prove compliance
- The candidates should be able to conduct self-assessments at the site and take part in and verify daily equipment inspections
- The candidates should be able to screen packages, perform secondary searches and maintain daily checklists and end-of-day reports
- The candidates should be able to ensure a smooth-running operation and meeting tight and critical deadlines
- The candidates should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate between aviation security and local operations teams
- The candidates should be able to safeguard the air cargo network
- The candidates should be able to escalate quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately
- The candidates should be able to monitor general work areas
- The candidates should be able to participate in regular online and in-person continuous training
- The candidates should be able to become familiar with UPS Aviation Security Local Operating Plan (LOP)
- The candidates should be able to perform monthly compliance audits
