- The candidates should be available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in all weather conditions

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maintain, inspect, service, test, and repair all systems on locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles used in plant, yard, and road service
- The candidates should be able to diagnose diesel engine malfunctions and make repairs within regulatory and company guidelines
- The candidates should be able to complete work in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings, and service manuals
- The candidates should be able to perform non-structural welding, adjustment, and calibration of mechanical components and construct mechanical assemblies
- The candidates should be able to maintain low voltage repairs on locomotive electrical systems and evaluate parts for reuse, repair, or replacement
- The candidates should be able to service locomotive cabs, including cleaning cab walls, toilets, windows, and floors
- The candidates should be able to operate equipment such as overhead or mobile cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
