Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of completed an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience in a forensic and outpatient counselling setting
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- The candidates should have current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- The candidates should have 1 – 3 years of nursing experience in a forensic, mental health, corrections, and addiction setting within the last 5 years
- The candidates should have experience working with clients who are mandated to attend treatment and experience providing nursing assessments and treatment in community settings
- The candidates should have experience providing psycho-educational groups to clients and their families

- The candidates should be able to provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being
- The candidates should be able to utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
- The candidates should be able to teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
- The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
